After a hot bath, we had some canned food and snacks for dinner. Only then did we sleep for the night. When the next morning rang in, I was already up bright and early. I was doing some stretches before going back to work on the base. I had to get as much done as possible in order to start everything else.

Since I could make everything out of stone, it made things much easier, but that did not mean I was going to be able to use just stone. I still planned to line the walls with metal as well. But having the ability to manipulate rock of any kind was actually quite helpful since I could actually make ventilation shafts out of stone.

Once I got the main base done, I would be making the vents of the base rise up through a  few trees up top. I still had to steal a filtration system and fans to pump air in and out. Each room would have at least one intake and one output. This way, we could circulate the air better. As for the phase generator that would power the place, that was going to be a bit harder.

I would need to use stealth drones to get the materials for it since I would need to break into a few labs. There just so happens to be a place where I can find all the materials right under the National building in the city. I would need to take a bus there, but it would be worth the hassle.

The only thing that sucked at this time was that I had no way of leveling up from what I could see. It would be nice to be able to get more nano and more skill points. I did take a look at my quantum creation skill. As long as I have the materials, I can make any substance I can think of. I planned to use this skill to make my generator since it would make things faster. But the base chemicals to make phase energy were what I lacked the most, and you can only get them from labs or order them. I did not have time to be ordering anything, so I could only go with the lab. My parents’ lab did not have these chemicals since they did not do research that dealt with neutrinos.

The chemicals I am looking for could capture neutrinos, which flowed through everything by the billions. Sadly, these scientists who ran these labs had no idea what they were dealing with. They were not combining the chemicals because, normally, they would react with one another. But…. If mixed together in the correct proportions with some normal everyday table salt, you could form a net of sorts that could capture the neutrinos. These neutrinos, when gathered together, change their properties, creating phase energy.

This phase energy would then continue to feed off the neutrinos to give power, making an infinite power source. A phase generator will take the energy emitted from phase energy and create electricity using normal copper plating. You only needed to make a kind of dyson sphere around the phase energy, and it would put out tens of thousands of watts of energy.

“Ai?” Jen called out to me. I had been so lost in my thoughts I did not even realize that I had already created fifteen rooms and two main living spaces.

“Sorry, Jen, you okay?” I asked as I walked over to her.

“Yeah, I was just seeing if there was anything I should be doing.” Jen looked a little fidgety.

“Hmmm… We can start some training with a mild run up and down the mountain. We will mark the trees so we do not lose our way. After our run, we will do one hundred sit-ups and one hundred push-ups. After that, you will do 100 squats and then….”

“Wait! Ai! I can’t do all that right off the bat!” Jen looked like she was going to cry.

I chuckled and said: “I am just kidding, but you will be running, doing sit-ups, push-ups, and squats. Just a much smaller number. But to start, you will need to do stretches. This way, you will not hurt yourself. To start off, you will just do as many as you can. If you get to a point where you can barely keep going, then push one more out, no matter how much it hurts. Remember, no pain, no gain.”

“I know.” Jen let out a sigh of relief. “I will work hard.”

“Alright, to start, follow me in doing stretches and then use this….” I pulled out a treadmill from my inventory. “You will walk, jog, and run on this until you have built up enough stamina to run non-stop for thirty minutes. You will do thirty minutes twice a day. First, start off running full blast to see how far you can go. Running will be very important after the apocalypse starts. If you can not run at full speed for long periods of time, then you will end up dead.”

Jen only nodded as she stared at the treadmill.  I smiled and said: “First, we will do stretches.”

Stretching took ten minutes. Only when Jen completed her stretches did I put her on the treadmill. While she was running, I went back to work on the base. I started doing the first of the ventilation shafts. Each shaft would have a large opening at the bottom. This was so that a proper ventilation system could be put in, and so I could see when we hit topsoil.  This was to make sure I was looking at the right thing and making it easier to find. I embedded a rag that would move up every time I pushed the hole higher.
