As Lexy continued through the forest, she began to lose track of her surroundings. She seemed to have wandered into a not so friendly looking area. There was an eerie dense green fog that surrounded her. The trees seemed to have lost all their leaves, and the ground was mushy and wet. Worst of all, her map seemed to have glitched or something because it only showed the place where she stood and a little bit of her surroundings. The compass was also going crazy as well so she was unable to figure out her current directions.

A cold chill ran down Lexy's spine. She felt like the place she had entered was like a scene right of a horror movie. And she hated horror movies, ghosts, zombies, snakes, spiders…. Well, anything creepy. "Meeheheeh"

"Eek!" Lexy almost jumped out of her skin. She hugged her body and looked around her, trying to figure out where that sound just came from. "Maybe…. Maybe…. Maybe Olivia knows how to get out of here..."

Hoping Olivia could be her knight in shining armor! She quickly typed a message in guild chat. "Huh? Why did you walk into the forest haunt! That place is completely unexplored even to this day. They say no matter how much you try to move around in that place, you can't map it out, nor can you get out. It's a special zone that no one understands. From what I read about the place, the only way out is to die and go back to respawn."

"Noo! You can't do anything!?" Lexy pouted as she looked around. She gripped the new whip in her hand as she tried to make out what lay beyond the dense fog bank.

"Sorry, you are on your own on this one. But I did hear there are some cool zombies, snakes, spiders, and ghosts in there, so you might actually enjoy checking it out. But I heard they are hella strong." Olivia's words were all spelled with the same letters D. O. O. M. doom…

Lexy took a deep breath and tried to psych herself up. "You can do this, Lexy! You are supposed to be the demon queen!"

As if this was enough to shake off her fears. She still went back to hugging herself as she slowly made her way through the dead forest. "Meeheheeh"  The strange laugh could still be heard coming from around her. She had no idea where it was coming from. She just knew it was scaring the hell out of her every time. It was times like this that she realized it was good to be a girl. Otherwise… Just thinking about how embarrassing it would be to be an eighteen year old male hugging himself as he walked through a forest made Lexy want to jump off a cliff somewhere.

She had no idea how long she had been walking around for, but one thing she found strange was she was not finding any monsters, just strange laughs. "Hmm?" Lexy looked down to see that she seemed to have found an old path of some kind. She could only tell this because the stones beneath her feet were lined up in neat rows and blocked the surrounding mushy wetlands from pushing through.  "Maybe it's a way out!"

Of course, things in life are not always that simple. After following the path for what seemed like a lifetime, Lexy stood in front of what looked to be an entrance leading down into a basement of a broken down stone house.  Lexy did not enter right away. She first peered inside to see if she could see anything. "Why does it look like a spider's nest!?" Lexy pouted. But since she had come this far she didn't want to leave without at least checking it out. She raised her fist into the air and tried to pump herself up as if she was some kind of power ranger: "Gamer spirit activate… like that is going to help…. Scary things are still scary."

[Acquired Voice Active Skill: Gamer Spirit]

[Gamer Spirit]

[By shouting "Gamer Spirit Activate!", the user will have all fear and negative mental effects removed for one hour. Can be set to auto activate where the user will automatically shout the keyword.]

[Warning due to the embarrassing nature of the skill's keyword, make sure to turn off auto activation when in groups or in public, or else they will all laugh at you.]

"Nhgh… Why must I say such embarrassing things!?" Taking a deep breath, hoping this skill would do what it should so she could explore the basement, Lexy unenthusiastically said: "Gamer Spirit Activate..."

[Please say activation keyword louder...]

"What!?" Lexy wanted to cry as she took another death breath and yelled as loud as she could: "Gamer Spirit Activate!"

[Louder… Just kidding...]

"Fucking system!" Lexy yelled out while stomping her feet. She did not realize she was acting more and more feminine as time went on. But she did notice that her mind was clearer, and she really did not feel any more fear. This meant the skill was at least doing its job.

No longer scared of entering the basement, Lexy took a good look around her surroundings and noticed the fog in the area was not as dense as it was before. She spotted a nice big log sitting to the side. There was no way she was going to try to walk down the steps without knocking down all the spider webs she saw hanging lower from the ceiling. Even if she was no longer scared of going down into the basement, the idea of being covered in spider webs still bothered her.

Luckily she had high strength, so she was able to pick up the log easily. She then pushed it against the ceiling and began climbing down the stairs using the log as a means to keep the spider webs off her. When she reached the bottom, she was met with a long dimly lit hallway. There was a light, barely visible at the end of the hall.
