"Ah hahaha! I forgot!" Nana suddenly let out a laugh as Lexy was turning around to run towards the door to run away.

"You forgot about what!? Oof!! Why is the barrier still up!?" Lexy cried out. She slammed her fist on the barrier that blocked the only exit out of the room.  She turned and looked in horror at the huge monster with the scythe. This time it had a name hanging above its head that read: "Death" with ten skulls next to its name,

"Ahaha! Well, you see... I kinda made a tinsy winsy little mistake when I contracted you. Hehe… so, well… This is how it is. If I have spells running before the contract and then I get contracted without canceling them… They are no longer under my control. And as such, since that barrier is a boss room barrier and I am no longer considered a boss, Little Death here became the new boss! See! Just a tiny mistake hahaha!" Nana was acting like this was no big deal!

"What!? What do you mean not under your control!? Wait, you were a boss!?" Lexy was being hit left and right with all these surprises, hat her head was rocking back and forth.

"Ahhh, Lexy, my dear, I think it would be best to watch your front. Mr. Death does not look like he is willing to let you have a brain spasm." Nana warned.

Lexy looked up to see the skull face of Death staring right at her with its empty eye sockets that were staring at her soul as if it was its food. "Eek! Can we talk about this!? Like, let's be friends, okay!? Let me out of the room, and you can camp out here all day and night. Collect figurines you know a normal day riiiiAhhh! Why are you attacking!?"

Lexy jumped with all her might to dodge Death's attack. She tucked and rolled as the giant scythe swung tight over her body, just barely missing the tail she had forgotten to tuck in as well.  After that, before she could even really get herself together, more attacks came flying at her causing her to jump and dodge in strange ways. If there were men in the room, they would all be staring at the show of panty flashing she was doing while dodging. Strike after strike, Lexy was just narrowly dodging the attacks.

"Look at you go! Yeah, raise those thighs! Let me see some camel to…. Ahem…  We are in battle, I really shouldn't... Lexy, if you keep only dodging, we will never get out of here. We can just kill Little Deathy here, and you can reap all the rewards!" Nana was already raring to go!

"How can I fight something that has hundreds of skulls next to its name!? I am only level 2!" Lexy wanted to cry. She did not want to die because she was afraid of losing any loot. She was unsure how contracted items work and did not want to lose Nana after just gaining her! She had to go through much to just get to this place! With her mind wavering back and forth, Lexy finally decided on what she wanted to do. "Gamer Spirit Activate!"

"...."

"…."

"Pfft! Hahaahahahahahaha! What was that!? Are you some kind of superhero!?" Nana was rolling, the bell on Lexy's neck, and was jingling away. And Lexy's cheeks were starting to turn red. Even Death was giving her a strange look. It may be hard to tell with his inability to show any kind of expression with his bone face, but Lexy knew with how he had stopped attacking and just stood there that it was giving her a strange look!

Although embarrassed, Lexy was now calm and collected. "Nana, what do you want me to do!?"

"Ahah… sorry… that was rich… But at least you seem ready to fight! Good! Listen carefully. I will be sending my mana through your body so you can use me to cast  high level spells. Little Death here is weak versus holy magic, so we will be using that to take him down. Even a low level holy spell will damage him, but who am I!? I am the most awesome grimoire ever created! The Arcana records!" Nana gave Lexy a complete rundown of her plan.

In order to win, the two would have to work in sync. As they had just contracted to each other, it would normally take time to get used to the feeling of sharing mana, but they did not have time for this. To share mana, you would need your body to not reject the mana flowing into you, which most of the time, it would do naturally without you even realizing it. So Lexy had to open her mind and body to allow Nana's mana to flow into her without any resistance. It was just that the way Nana was explaining things sounded very dirty.

Luckily Lexy had Gamers Spirit so she would be able to control herself from rejecting it. "Are you ready!? Let's start off small. Call out Holy Sheild."

"Holy Shield!" Lexy yelled out as the scythe was about to cut her in half. But instead of doing so, it smashed into a golden shield that not only blocked the attack but bounced the attack back, causing Death to stagger backward.

"Good! Let's keep this up! Next up is an attack spell, Holy Javelin!" Nana praised Lexy's ability. Any other level two would have been dead long ago. But moments ago, she was dodging the attacks from Death without issue.

"Holy Javelin! Holy Strike! Holy Smite!" Lexy was yelling out spell name after spell name, all the while just barely dodging Death's attacks. She had no idea why she was dodging so easily. She only knew that she was! "Why does he have so much health!?"

"When you are this close to ascending like Little Death here, you too would have insane health. Just keep it up!" Nana explained. "Wait! Crap, Lexy watch out he is about to use an ultimate move! Stay out of the areas with black smoke!"
