As Lexy slept, the collar on her neck began to glow before turning to a stream of light and hovering in the air in front of Lexy. Slowly this stream of light began to take shape into a humanoid form. A young woman who looked no older than eighteen or nineteen years of age, appeared in front of Lexy wearing a long dark purple dress with black frills along the edges. She had two short black horns coming out of the top of her head and a long skinny pointed tail coming from her lower back. Hovering over her head were two halos, one golden in color the other black in color. Her eyes matched the halos as well, her left eye was golden, and her right eye was pure black.

This young woman was Nana's humanoid form. She hovered in the air as she looked at Lexy. She gently smiled as she landed on the stone covered ground with her bare feet. She then knelt down next to Lexy and reached out and grabbed the hem of Lexy's dress. She paused for a moment before pulling it down a bit to cover her thighs more.  She then turned her attention to the defenseless cat girl who was sleeping soundly.

"You really put your trust in me, didn't you?" Nana chuckled as she reached up and brushed a lock of hair away from Lexy's eyes. "But I must say, I picked a very cute master."

Nana blinked her eyes as she leaned in closer. She brushed Lexy's bangs back and kissed her forehead. "I will make sure your trust in me is not wrongly placed. I vow on my name, Arcana Records, that I will make you the strongest person in this game. We will show them together just how amazing you are."

Nana cupped Lexy's cheek before turning into a stream of light again, wrapping around Lexy's neck and turning back into a collar with a bell on it. With a small jingle, a light wrapped around Lexy's body, keeping her warm like a blanket. "Maybe in the future, I will reveal my true form to you."

The next morning...

"Mufu… Mufu! MUFU!" Lexy yelled out while making a strange kissy face. Her arms were stretched out in front of her, and her fingers were making creepy wiggling motions. "Hmmm?" Opening her eyes, Lexy sleepily looked around. The light glow on her body faded away. "Oh yeah, I defeated a boss and fell asleep here… Nana, good morning..."

"Good morning Lexy. We should get going while I can still keep monsters away. I will direct you out." Nana urged. She was still using what little power she had to keep the monsters away from Lexy.

"Okay!" Lexy quickly got up and slapped her cheeks to wake herself up a bit before running out of the basement. The area was as foggy as it was when she first arrived and only got foggier as she made her way towards the exit. "Mehehehe!"

"Eek! Damn it! Why does that strange laugh always make me jump!?" Lexy pouted. She did not know why that goat sounding laugh made her jump, but it did.

"Ah yeah, you should be. That is a soul sucking goat. They are really vicious. When they attack, they will try to take big bites out of you until you die. And then they will suck your soul out of your body and gulp it down. You have to wait like an hour before you can respawn. The entire time you are sitting in their stomach waiting to be well… Let's just say freed from captivity." Nana explained.

Her explanation caused Lexy's face to pale.  "I should hurry!" Lexy picked up her pace and ran as fast as she could. Luckily Nana was at her side, or she would have experienced something even more traumatizing than fighting a powerful skeleton.

It took an hour to finally escape the fog. "Out! Finally out!" Lexy jumped for joy seeing how there was no longer any fog blocking her view of things.

"You headed to town?" Nana asked.

"Yeah, I need to go thank the people at the inn for allowing me to stay at their inn for free and wanted to give them some money for last night even though I did not stay in the room. After that, I will wait for Olivia to log on and pass the armor over before I make my way towards the next town, but… I wonder if there are actually quests in this game? Now that I think about it, I have not seen any quest markers… I guess I will have to ask her about that too. If I can pick up some quests, I can gain some extra experience and also get some free items and maybe some game lore as well. Oh! I also need an armor upgrade!" Lexy had really not thought about it until now since everything had been so crazy. But now that she was set on everything except her armor, she wanted to start looking at quests.

"It's too bad we couldn't get you a mythical growth armor as well. But that would mean fighting a boss as strong as death again." Nana felt it was a little sad that the armor that dropped was not useful to Lexy.

"It's fine. Having to gain new armor gives me something to work towards." If everything was handed to her on a silver platter, Lexy wouldn't feel the game was fun anymore. She was always that one person who never bought cash shop items in other games. Although if it did drop from her hard work and she just so happened to loot it, she would definitely wear it!

It did not take long for Lexy to reach Grove Town. But she noticed something was up when she passed through the town gates. She turned to one of the guards to look for answers. "What's going on?"

"Miss Lexy, they are hosting an event soon. You actually came back at the perfect time."
