Low lying fog covered the ground. Trees with very few leaves dotted the landscape around the broken cobblestone path. The eerie silence was enough to make anyone's hair stand up on end. The lanterns that were spaced out evenly along the path each gave off a faint bluish glow. Even the sky overhead was covered in grey clouds, barely allowing any sun to pierce them.

Walking along this path were two people, one girl with a pointy hat and another with cat ears and a cat's tail. Currently, one was latched on to the other's arm, holding on as if her life depended on it. "Megalim, let's not go, okay? I mean, this place looks really scary!"

"Lexy, you, of all people, should relax. I mean, what is the worst that can happen? Besides being possessed by some kind of ghost who happens to like to shave cats. OoooooOOo!" Megalim turned and made a scary face causing Lexy's hair to shiver.

"Nyaaaa! Megalim, don't do that!" Lexy had tears welling up in her eyes, making Megalim feel bad. She pursed her lips and hugged Lexy. "Sorry..."

"It's fine…" Lexy purred as she felt the top of her head being scratched. She instantly relaxed.

"I hate to break you two up, but… Lexy, you should use your Gamer Spirit spell." Nana's voice came from Lexy's collar. She got sick of her master turning into a scaredy-cat.

"But..." Lexy blushed. She hated that spell! But when she looked at Megalim, who wanted to go into the town that looked to be covered in ghosts and other scary things, she sighed and shouted: "Gamer Spirit!" She even did a small hop tossing her fist into the air as she shouted this embarrassing spell.

Immediately all her fears were washed away, and she looked much calmer than before. Looking at her menu, Lexy reluctantly turned auto-cast on for this skill so that it would cast again once the duration was up.

"Heh.." A small chuckle came from Lexy's collar, causing her to blush. Even Megalim turned her head away, trying to hide the smile on her face, but Lexy already saw it and pouted. She kicked the dirt in aggravation before marching forward towards the town.

"Wait for me, Lexy!" Megalim quickly caught up to Lexy and tried to make her not angry anymore. This was easily solved with a scratch behind the ear.

The two arrived at the main gates of the town, which were worn and rundown. But even so, there were two people standing guard, or they looked like people until you got close to them and saw that something was not right. Tattered armor, a stench of rotting flesh was in the air, making Lexy and Megalim wrinkle their noses. In between the gaps of the armor, you could see exposed bone here and there. One of them noticed Lexy and Megalim and stepped forward. "Halt! What are humans doing here?"

"Err, ummm..." Megalim started to stutter. She had no idea how to reply.

"We came here because we heard that you may have some trouble here." Lexy calmly spoke. Her mind was like calm water. Not a single ripple of fear could be seen in her eyes.

"Oh? If that is the case, you may enter. The one who requested help is at the knight's barracks. If you will follow me." The undead guard said as he gave a slight bow.

Lexy nodded and walked forward, following the guard into the town. Megalim held Lexy's hand as she felt a little afraid. Lexy only smiled and pulled her along. After meeting the guard, Lexy felt that this town was normal like other towns, except it was filled with the undead. This meant that there would be a lot of unique quests that one would not be able to find elsewhere.

The buildings of the town were made of stone and wood, very medieval-style housing. Unlike Grove Town, where the houses were fantasy-like, these buildings could be seen on the internet if you looked them up. But these houses did not look brand new. The shingled roofs were broken. Some even fully caved in.  The windows on the buildings were also broken. There were even a few buildings that had collapsed altogether. It was definitely not a place for the living. But even so, there were undead walking around on the streets. Off in the distance, Lexy could see what seemed to be a market as well. Surprisingly though, she did not see a single player. Why this was, she did not know. But she felt that maybe there might be something good in this place if Olivia suggested for them to come here.

"This is it." The guard stopped in front of a two-story building that had its roof missing and walked up the broken wooden steps.

Lexy pulled Megalim along as they made their way carefully up the steps. The wooden door to the building was actually still in working order. When they passed through, they were met with a wave of rotting flesh smell surging up their nose, causing them to both almost gag and bringing tears to their eyes. But they both did their best to hold in their disgust as they walked into the building. The guard had them follow all the way to the back room, where a skeleton was lying on a bed with a few other undead around them using strange instruments on the bones.

"He doesn't have much longer..." One of the undead said that was wearing a tattered white long coat.

"Doc, I brought some people who may be able to help look for the item you talked about before to save our captain." The guard turned and pointed to Lexy and Megalim.

"Oh! Then we may still have a chance!" The doc was the undead in the tatted white long coat. He turned and looked at Lexy and Megalim and asked: "I need to ask you two to help us. I need a Skull Flower to save the knight captain. It grows on the mountain cliff where the sun is not able to shine. To the east of the village. Can I ask the two of you to help retrieve the flower?"
