Eve and Lilly got into the loader and headed towards the bio lab that Lilly talked about. Lilly tapped the steering wheel as she hummed some kind of song that Eve had never heard before. "It's nice..." Lilly suddenly said. "I have always been coming out here alone for the past five years. But now I actually have company. It feels nice knowing I am not out here alone."

"Oh? Don't you just come out to get parts and go home?" Eve asked.

"It's not the parts gathering that I am speaking of. The outside is a scary place. There are other scarier things out here than just scavengers. While scavengers are dangerous. Nothing is more dangerous than the raiders. They are basically outlaws who formed a group of their own. They won't raid the big cities, but if they find any people outside those cities, they will kill the men and take the women. It's like they gave into the primal instincts. I myself have only seen them a few times, but they are out there. I was lucky enough to hide away when I did see them. Because if they do catch you…. Haha, I would probably be a breeding horse right now. Although I think I would have killed myself way before then." Lilly tried to joke about the issue, but it was definitely not something she wished to experience on her own.

"That is something you will not need to worry about with me around. I can at least promise you that as long as I am functioning that I will not allow any harm to come to you." Eve needed Lilly to enter X-Cyber City, so she was not about to allow Lilly to come to any harm.

"Hehe… Thanks." Lilly smiled, knowing Eve was willing to protect her. If it was coming from a human, she wouldn't believe Eve's words since humans are known to only care for themselves when it really comes down to it. But Eve was an A.I., an A.I. that had already protected her once. As such, she was much more willing to believe in Eve.

The two stopped off at a few places to check for anything they could scavenge before finally arriving at the bio lab that Lilly was talking about. "This is the place." Lilly announced as she pulled into a large parking lot.

The building in question was surprisingly intact besides some minor damage to the outer walls and the large fence that surrounded it. But the main gate with the guard station was still standing tall, and the main entrance seemed to be untouched besides the broken windows. "This place has been raided in the past. So we may not find anything at all."

"It is still worth a try. I need to make fake skin if I am to blend in with the humans in X-Cyber City. Oh! Speaking of that, Lilly, are there cyborgs in X-Cyber City?" Eve had wondered if she would need to rebuild her legs or not too. She really did not wish to give up the current legs she was wearing.

"Yes. There are even full-body cyborgs, but they are strictly checked over to make sure they are not just A.I. If someone wished to become a full-body cyborg, they would need to be registered with the city, but if it is only partial like you still have human parts then there is no need to register. I have always wanted to become a full-body cyborg myself, but the cost is stupid crazy." Lilly explained.

"Yeah, I could see the price being up there. But this works for me. So my legs would be fine if I were to allow them to be exposed?" Eve asked.

"Yes, your legs are fine. But I am curious as to how you will be able to replace certain parts. Wait, do you wish for me to help rebuild…." Lilly started to get all excited, thinking she could help rebuild Eve, but when she turned and looked at Eve, at her eye that was staring at her, her words got caught in her throat. Although Eve was unable to give any kind of expression, Lilly felt that she should stop while she was ahead.

Eve inwardly smiled as she said: "I have my ways, don't worry."  Eve did not trust anyone to make her parts. She may have Lilly's help if she proves to show herself to be trustworthy, but for now, she would not put all her faith in the girl until she proved herself as trustworthy.

And trust was not an easy thing to gain. Not with Eve anyway. If it was not for the fact that she needed to be smuggled into X-Cyber City she would not even have asked Lilly to help her. But so far Lilly has shown herself to at least not be hostile for the time being.

The two girls walked up to the entrance of the facility where Eve stopped at the entrance. And Lilly who was busy looking around walked head first into her. "Ow!.." Rubbing her head Lilly pouted as she looked up at Eve.

"Aiu anything?" Eve was currently having Aiu run a test on the air quality to see if it was safe for Lilly or not. She hadn't even noticed that Lilly had bumped into her.

"So far it is safe. I will keep an eye on the air quality to make sure the human girl doesn't die." Aiu said with a hint of prejudice in her tone. She did not like other humans very much, not after they killed Eve.

"Alright, I will be counting on you then, Aiu. I am still not used to trying to process multiple bands of information at the same time. I can only focus on one thing at a time." After saying thanks to Aiu, Eve turned to the red-nosed Lilly and said: "The air inside is safe so far but if I tell you to stop, stop. Don't go running off on your own. There is no telling what might be in the air in a bio lab."

"Don't worry, I do not wish to die so soon just yet either."
