Yuki had no idea what was really going on. All she knew was that she was currently looking at a floating island and not something that was made with CGI. But as her eyes lowered and she looked down at the side of the floating island in front of her, she felt like crying. She did not know if some god was picking on her or teasing her but the backpack that she had lost, now that the dust had settled was nicely hooked on a rock on the other side of the floating island. She could see it as clear as day even though it was far away since the blue stood out pretty well against the brown rocks and dirt.

Yuki sat with her legs to her side trying her best to hold her tears back. After a few minutes of calming herself down. Yuki struggled to her feet and looked down at her now freshly scraped knees. "Ouch..." She gently wiped what sand and rocks she could out of her cuts before turning around to see what was around her.  It was nothing but a dry wasteland, not even a single blade of grass.

The only thing that stuck out to her was a large protruding rock that came out of the ground. She looked down at what she had on her and saw only her knife and a single gun. She seemed to have lost the other one when she had fallen. She had no food and no water left. This was basically the end of the road for her.  "I guess if I am going to die, I at least want to die in the shade..."

Yuki brought her aching body towards the large rock off in the distance. At first, it looked close by but that seemed to be an optical illusion. It ended up taking ten minutes just to reach the rock that was about two heads taller than herself. It reached out into an angle so it gave sufficient cover from the overhead sun. Yuki walked underneath it and sat down. She pulled her knees to her chin and began to cry until she had cried herself to sleep.

Yuki suddenly found herself in a white space. It was pure white with nothing around except for one familiar figure. "Suzu!?" Yuki cried out trying her best to rush over to Suzu. But no matter how much she ran she could not even get close to her friend. "Suzu!"

Yuki finally stopped running forward. She was not getting anywhere even with Suzu standing still. But as she was catching her breath she heard Suzu's voice float into her ear. "Yuki… It's time to wake up…"

"Suzu what!? What do you mean wake up!?" Yuki yelled out. She watched as Suzu turned around and smiled brightly at her before her eyes went wide with fear and yelled "YUKI, WAKE UP!"

"Huh, what!?" Yuki's eyes opened to find herself still sitting under the large rock. The whole area was covered in a golden light. "Suzu?" Yuki who was still half asleep looked around and her mood quickly became depressed, but seeing how the landscape was now a gold color Yuki quickly got up off the ground and walked out from underneath the cover of the rock.

"What is that!?" Yuki yelled as she looked up at the sky. Dark clouds swirled around which looked to be a large golden droplet of water. Yuki watched in horror as the droplet began to slowly pull away from the sky. As it stretched out and hung in the sky for a few seconds it finally broke off and hurdled down towards the ground. Yuki could only watch as the droplet of water sent waves of golden liquid into every direction and hurdled towards her at an incredible speed. It was so fast and even though it seemed to have fallen a great distance away it was already upon her which caused Yuki to stumble back and raise her arms to cover her face and brace for the impact. But all she felt was a sudden warmth rush over her body inside and out and when she opened her eyes and looked behind her, all she saw the wave of golden light continue on its journey even flying over the air of the massive hole in the ground as if it was not even there.

"What is going on? Am I already dead or did I accidentally eat some kind of weird mushroom!?" Yuki was having a hard time grasping the situation but when she looked up at the sky again the remaining golden light that was still bubbling up suddenly let loose as if someone had turned on the faucet. A wave of golden light way bigger than before swept over the land. Due to its density when the wave smashed into Yuki. Yuki only saw a bright golden light and felt her body being tossed in the air before everything went black.

Sounds of birds and insects could be heard floating into Yuki's ears. Yuki slowly opened her eyes to find herself back under the large rock. As her eyes finally adjusted to the brightness of the day, her eyes shot open at the scene in front of her. A vast meadow of green foliage and different color flowers spread out in front of her for kilometers. To her left and right quite far away she could see dense forests. Off in the distance to her front, she could see a large mountain range with a massive forest in front of it, how far away it was Yuki did not know. In the sky were many floating islands that seemed to have water raining down from their sides. She slowly climbed up to her feet and touched the back of her head. "Ouch… So that wasn't a dream… Where is this?"

Yuki looked around and saw the same large rock as before but she was no longer in a desolate wasteland. It was like a complete one eighty from what she was just traveling in. "Did that golden liquid do this? Wait… what the hell is that!"

No matter where Yuki looked she could see her name Kurihara Yuki, next to her name was the letters [Lvl] and the number 1, and two bars underneath it, with the letters [HP] and [MP]

Kurihara Yuki [Lvl]: 1

[HP]: 150/160

[MP]: 90/90

"A game HUD!? What the hell is going on!?" Yuki was very confused as to why she had a game HUD in her peripheral vision. This was something she would never mistake for anything else.

*Splugie!*  *Splugie!*

Yuki suddenly heard a very strange sound that she had never heard before. She looked down and was met with a cute gelatin creature.  "Ouch!" It bit her…. The cute gelatin creature bit her!  Yuki quickly took out her knife and without any hesitation repeatedly stabbed it with all her might…

"And that is what happened… But you seem to be unable to understand me with how you're dead and all…" Yuki slumped to the ground looking at what used to be a cute blue creature. "I guess you must be a slime…  I never knew slimes could bite..." Yuki reached down and rubbed her sore leg.

Yuki really wished she knew what was going on. Although she was talking to the dead slime in her hands, she was actually just running through all the events she had been through until now ash she tried t figure things out. "Was everything just a prelude to this new world? Was this some kind of failed science experiment or something? Maybe I am just sleeping and am in some kind of coma and dreaming… Whatever the case may be, I need to find a source of water. Sadly I do not have anything to save it in… Hmmm. If I have a HUD do I have other menus… wait at the bottom here it looks like I have an experience bar..."

Yuki looked at the numbers on the bar that read 5/100 and a faint smile appeared on her face for the first time in a long time. The gamer side of her was starting to come out. Her favorite thing to do is grind levels. "If this is some kind of game or whatever and I have to survive here then, maybe I should kill more slimes since the one I killed just now gave me 5 experience. But I wonder what my stats are… "

As Yuki thought about her stats a new screen popped up in her vision. "Oh? Let's see. Attack power... "

Attack Power: 50

Strength: 5

Magic Power: 20

Intelligence: 2

Mind: 9

Vitality: 16

Defense: 1

Magic Resist: 0

Speed: 3

Evasion: 3

Magic Evasion: 2

"So from what I am seeing Strength raises Attack Power and Intelligence raises Magic Power. But why is my Intelligence only 2? I'm not that dumb…. I think… Now that I think about it, my grades were always poor… Anyway, I will put that to the side for now… It seems Mind raises my [MP] while Vitality takes care of my [HP]. Defense is only 1 though..." Yuki looked down at herself; she was only wearing a tank top and a pair of shorts that went above her knees. "It seems the less you wear does not always mean epic armor… Thank god… I mean if I had found a string bikini and it had amazing stats, I think I would toss it away or maybe just wear it under some clothes… But Speed and Evasion are both 3, I wonder if they coincide with each other… but Magic Evasion… I wonder what that is… Well, at least now, I know I have other menus. Let's see to close, I... " Yuki concentrated on closing the menu and it did in fact close. She then practiced opening and closing it multiple times.

After that, another thought came to mind as she concentrated on opening an inventory screen.  Just like her status screen, an inventory that was a combination of both equipment screen and inventory screen appeared in front of her. The equipment screen had a bunch of slots in it for chest, feet, legs, three slots for underclothes, shoulders, knees, elbows, gloves, wrists, seven accessory slots, and a helmet slot, and two weapon slots.

"So nineteen equipment slots and two weapons lots. It seems to see my hunting knife and pistol as my weapons. But how do I check their stats..." Yuki focused on the knife and to her surprise, a small menu popped up over it giving some details.

[Hunting Knife]

[Damage: 5-6]

[A knife belonging to Kurihara Yuki's father. A treasured heirloom.]

"Hmm… It even knows that huh?" Yuki then checked the gun.

[Nine Millimeter]

[Damage: 10-12]

[A weapon using gunpowder to propel a bullet. Only effective against low-level monsters.]

"So in other words this gun is useless in this world..." Yuki sighed then looked at her equipment again and began to wonder. "I wonder what happens when I unequip something..." At that thought, she focused on her shirt and suddenly felt a cool breeze across her chest. She looked down and her face turned bright red as she yelled out: "Equip! Equip!"

Letting out a sigh of relief Yuki made a note to make sure she did not accidentally remove anything in public if she ever came across anyone. She then out of curiosity checked all her equipment to see what was giving her the one in defense but everything so far said nothing and the only thing she had not checked yet was her panties.

[Yuki's Panties]

[Defense: 1]

[A thin piece of cloth that covers Yuki's Secret Garden]

[Status: Dirty]

"What the hell is this!? Only my panties give defense!? And what the hell does it mean by secret garden.. No… Wait! Why does it say status dirty!? It's not my fault I couldn't wash my clothes for days!" Yuki was feeling depressed, it seemed her game system was picking on her. She decided to ignore it all and looked over at her inventory. Sitting in one of the slots was what looked to be a hammer of some kind.

Yuki focused on it and its information popped up.

[Meteorite Hammer]

[Damage 30-50(100)]

[Strength: +10]

[A special growth weapon that grows with its wielder. The higher the level the wielder is the higher the weapon's stats will grow. More random stats and skills may appear the higher the wielder is.]
