Laughing and giggling side by side, the mother and daughter pair return home. The two redheads enter with bright eyes and full teeth smiles while wearing matching outfits they purchased when out shopping. Michelle walks in dressed in light blue skinny jeans, brown calf-high boots with fringe, white cotton long sleeve blouse with a modest neckline, and a plaid infinity scarf. Scarlette is dressed nearly identical except for her darker jeans and an added pair of bows in her hair.

Upon entering their home, the maids saw Michelle happy and unstressed while smiling with a happy Scarlett and sighed in relief. They knew that the atmosphere would infect even them when those two got started. How can you not be in a good mood when these two are acting out their own two women show all over the place.

“Welcome home, Mrs. King. Do you require anything?” The head maid asks.

“Yes, please bring refreshments and snacks to the game room. This little monster wishes to challenge me. Our battle will be legendary and sung by bards for generations!”  Michelle says while striking a pose like a knight bracing a shield, her starry eyes shining brightly, not unlike a dragon stumbling upon a horde of gold.

“Right away, Mrs. King.” The maids reply in unison, scrambling like a royal just gave the decree to prepare for War. For War, it will be as the game they will play is Battleship.

“The Great Me, Admiral Scarlett King, shall not taste defeat oh great demonic warlord.” Scarlett shouts while throwing a coat over her shoulders, going for the yakuza look. While planting one boot firmly on the ottoman like a pirate captain asserting dominance while addressing her crew.

“Hurry, they already fell into character.” The youngest maid shouts through the intercom, ensuring they do not fall behind. In a world with such poor entertainment, characters like this mother-daughter pair made life worth living.

Laughing loudly like a b-movie villain Michelle smugly looks upon Scarlett as she shouts. “My great and powerful Blood Armada have already deployed young admiral. You are a step too late now as non shall prevent my conquest. ALL HANDS PREPARE FOR BATTLE!”

Scarlett moves quickly, placing her pieces, then grabbing a root beer and chugging it. “Men! I will not go down without a fight, nor will we quietly perish on this very night. Death comes for us all, so let us bring some friends with us. This Is my ocean, and you shall not pass! B9 fire!” her arm flings forward like a commander commanding the artillery to fire.

“You shall never defeat me, Tiny Scarlett. I am Inevitable.” Her mother replies, having added on a handlebar mustache and a monocle with makeup when Scarlett was not looking.

“Ahhhh.” One maid suddenly squeals from the side. “Admiral, we are taking on water and can’t reach the hole below the waterline. It was a direct hit, Ma’am.” Another maid shouts out.

“WHAT!” Michelle shouts.

“Direct hit Ladies continue to b8 Smash their fleet before the chaos settles lassies,” Scarlett commands while sneering at her mother across the ottoman. Hits continued from b8, b7, and b6 as she sunk the Battleship claiming the lead. Her mother angrily shakes her fist at her daughter like she is ready to settle the score at any moment.

“fire on d9. Never give up, never surrender,” Scarlett commands again. She has really fallen into this character. She loves the idea of salt wind blowing in her hair as she defeats pirates and holy roman War fleets single-handedly. Continuing her attack at e9 sinking a pt. Boat Scarlett looks like a battlefield commander with every single enemy movement captured within her palm. After sinking the pt boat, she thought she knew her mother’s layout from memory and fired on e6, expecting the sub to be there and missing gloriously.

“OH, DEARIE! Would you look at that seems my sub has been misplaced. Whatever shall I do.” Michelle says while smiling like a demon. Her grin nearly splits her head in two as she then shouts. “First mate Rose, fire with attack plan c and crush these foolish rebel forces.”

“aye, aye, ma’am. You heard her ladies fire at will.” The head maid shouts triumphantly, knowing the lady of the house can always tell the girls defensive strategy.

“you can take my hopes and dreams, you can even take my pride, but you will never crush our spirits! right, girls!” Scarlett shouts, followed by the maids behind her shouting with Scarlett even though they knew a crushing defeat was on the way.

“Miss!” The maid on Scarlett’s side monitoring the shots shouts out.

Michelle is stunned it should have been that pattern. Michelle knows her daughter up, down, left, right, and any which way you can. She had never misunderstood her pattern, which is why Scarlett always gets to go first.

“HAHAHA. Oh, how the mighty do fall to pride and arrogance.” Scarlett says while beginning to radiate a small amount of bloodlust. This momentarily startles everyone in the room. Scarlett then calls out another series of attacks sinking the carrier.

“Muahahahah to think the day would come when the great I, ruler of 3 of the great 6 seas have the chance to smell defeat. However, it isn’t over till the redhead sings hahahahahahaha.” Michelle shouts.

Moments later, Scarlett misses again and then has 3 of her ships taken down. With only the carrier and sub left, she knows defeat is imminent. “Leave me, ladies. The admiral shall go down with her ship. No need for you to go down with me. Onward to the next battlefield.” Scarlett commands while wrapping the maid next to her in her coat and causing the maid to blush slightly. Bowing to the maids, she turns and faces the enemy commander on the field of battle.

“What do we have here? It seems the genius unbeatable admiral is here to admit defeat whatever shall I do.” Michelle snidely responds, acting the demon queen to the T as though she was made for it.

“Defeat is only a temporary state of being, as is victory, for there is always another battle. Always another enemy, so long as humans live so too doth strife.” Scarlett repeats the words of a famous Celtic Federation Hero who fought single-handedly against the holy roman empire and held off their troops' advance for 2 hours at the bridge leading to their capital at the time.

Mother and daughter stick their hands out at the same time, shaking hands while laughing out, “Good Game, Girl.”

“Alright ladies, we had fun, but it’s time to call it a night. See you gals in the morning.” Michelle states to the maids, sending them off so they can relax for the evening. Then, they both head off to their respective rooms to shower and change to their PJs for movie night. Scarlett’s father works out of town 3 weeks out of the month, usually overseas. While he is a great father, when he is around, life gives you money but takes your time.
