In the middle of a forest filled with the sound of life, and the smell of nature, a young woman sat on a fallen tree. 'I wonder where Winter is right now, she said she'd contact me as soon as she was in the game," Amy thought to herself as she played Ingenuity Online. 'It's really not like her to flake like that without giving any heads up. I guess if she doesn't contact me in a few more hours I'll log out for a minute to see what's up."

About half an hour later, I was about to head back to the village to turn in the quests I finished, loud alarms filled my head as well as a bright red screen appearing in front of me.

*WARNING, a sudden influx of heat and elevated levels of carbon monoxide have been detected outside the gaming pod, initiating emergency log out procedure.

I exited my gaming pod only to be met with the sight of my families house burning. I start running to the door that leads to the basement, but when I put the back of my hand against the door knob it is met with an intense heat. I could also see a bright orange light on the other side of the door, when finally the door gave in and was completely burnt.

"Damn it! The heat and CO probably only reached this room by the time it was too late. Now I have nowhere to go.

Unfortunately there were no windows in the basement, as it was a converted wine cellar. I quickly pulled out my cell phone and dialed 911. Unfortunately, at this time I could already feel my consiousness slipping from the excessive amounts of smoke, and CO in the room as well as lack of good oxygen.

"Hello 911, what's your emergency?"

"Help, I, I need..." I said faintly, unfortunately by this time I was already faint from the smoke inhilation, as my hand loosened on my phone and dropped it.

"Ma'am, ma'am? are you okay? We're sending help to your location immediately, help is on the way."

*boop* *boop* *boop*

Everything around me started to go dark as I lost consciousness. by the time help arrived it had already been thirty minutes, because we lived in the county.

Next thing I knew I was in a strange white room facing a gorgeous scarlett haired woman. Seeing her I couldn't help but blush.

"You've got to be fucking kidding me!!! Winter only left a few hours ago, and now Amy is dead too!?!?"

It took me a moment but I finally able to process what the woman just said. "The hell! wait, winter is dead and I'm dead too?!" After thinking a moment I continued, "Meh, what happens happens I guess. Can you tell me what happened to winter, and tell me whatever is happening here?" Though a little confused about everything, I had a general idea of what was happening, and asked in a straightforward tone.

A little surprised about Amy's quick adjustment Reya quickly responded. "Straight forward, that's always nice. So as you've probably guessed already from my previous words, your dead. I'm Reya the Goddess of Reincarnation, you were a great person who died early so you're reincarnation. Winter was involved in a construction accident, a big construction beam landed right on top of her. Since you know each other I'll send you to the same place as her. That about sums it up. Since you and Winter have similar interests how about I also give you a system inspired by Ingenuity, how does that sound?"

"Oh! That sounds Terrific, could I start at the level I made it to in the game, level 6?"

"That's not much of an issue so I can do that, also your Rune Pen will enhance the speed and power of your runes more. Your robe and boots will have an appearance change function, and the robe will provide a bigger boost to magic recovery and power, they will all grow with you as well. You will also have 500 more points to distribute."

As I heard all of this, the fact I was reincarnating really started to sink in. As it did, I started to feel more and more excited. With a clear amount of excitement in my voice I ask, "So as soon as I finish distributing all that I'll go down to the new world?!"

That's right, I'm sure it won't take too long." After about ten minutes I put the finishing touches to what was my game character with the new points I recieved.

"That is really satisfying to look at," I muttered to myself, feeling satisfied with the new skills and racial bonuses. the racial bonuses weren't nerfed for fair game play so it made me a lot more powerful. As I thought about this I let Reya know that I was ready to go down.

After she told me everything I needed to know about race and everything else she sent me down. After a moment of darkness I found myself in a forest, just on the outskirts of the town of Solaris.

---

As I was leaving the arena after the test, I eventually made it into the lobby area. Shortly after I walk out, I feeze as my eyes lock onto a figure. She was 5"7' with a longer pixie cut style and natural scarlet colored hair. Her aura was also filled with confidence and erudition. She was the same age as me, quite literally as we have the same birthday, March 7.

I quickly rushed towards her as I pulled her into my embrace. It was a little bit awkward considering that she is quite a bit taller than me but I don't care. Before she was able to say anything I whisper into her ear, "We shouldn't talk here, we to find somewhere private to talk."

Realizing that there are a lot of people around she nods to me with a soft smile on her face. We quickly found a private place to talk in peace within the guild hall. Once we were inside we started to catch up.

"Sorry about that earlier, in this new world I decided to start going by name I was going to use for the game, so I go by Tess now. You don't have to call me that all the time, just when we're around other people. I figured my name would stick out a bit, well moreso my last name," I say to Amy.

When I said this Amy nodded in understanding, "that makes sense, don't worry about it. Now that you mention it I'll probably do the same thing. So I'll go by Aurelia now. I'm just curious but how did you die?"

"Well I'm not one hundred percent sure, but I think I was crushed by a main support beam for a building."

"Wait that was you! I heard about that accident, they couldn't identify you because your body was pulverized."

"Ya I figured that would happen, how did you die?"

"Well I guess my capsule was faulty and I died from smoke inhalation, not as brutal as you but I still died."

"Death is still death, at least I died quickly, I can only imagine what it's like to suffocate, that would be horrid. What do you think of forming a party, at least after your examination?"

"I don't see a problem with that, I can provide magic support from behind and you attack up close. We'd make a great team, our only problem is we don't have any type of tank that could keep up with our growth." I could tell Aurelia felt a little worried about this problem.

'I really want to comfort her but how?' I think for a moment and reply, "We can figure that out latter, there's no point in aimlessly worrying about what we can't do anything about."

"I guess your right, there isn't a point in worrying right now. Our next course of action should be to accomplish some tasks for the guild. So we should do that after I finish my assessment test, how does that sound?"

I think for a moment saying, "Ya, why not, it's as good an idea as any. Now that we have a plan let's start moving, you should go take the assessment, I need to do some thing while you do that."

"Alright, I'm gonna take my test now I'll be back in a sec, see you in a minute Winter."

With those words we left the private room and I watched Amy, I mean Aurelia, go to take her assessment. Meanwhile I went to the bounty counter to pick up my reward, as it took a minute for us to find a room and it was ready. When I reached there they already had my reward ready for me which amounted to 10 gold pieces. Satisfied with the reward I went to a table and waited for Aurelia to finish her test. Not much latter she walked out and the mage assesser had a similar expression to Zashan when he finished my test. From that I new she started at C class just like I did.

Walking up I said "Congrats on making C class. I'm assuming that's what her expression means?"

"Ya I made C class it was a great learning experience for me too though. I have a few ideas I'd like to test out."

"Okay I have no problems with that, Just as long as I'm not the test subject," I say as I laugh to myself at my joke. All I hear is a soft hearted chuckle from Aurelia, no one understands my jokes. As I think about that I motion that we should go over to the task counter and we start walking over.

As I scanned through the requests on the board, I saw a particular one that caught my interest.

Dungeon Maintenance - C Rank

Clear the bottom floors of the nearby C Rank dungeon to prevent over population and dungeon breaks.

Reward: 2 Gold, or an equivalent sum of silver.

As I looked at the task I consulted with Aurelia, "I think this would be a good quest, we'll be able to get experience points as well as possible materials in the dungeon, what do you think?"

"That would be a great idea, I think we should do it. Monster cores are ten times more prevalent in dungeon monsters than field ones, because of how they come about, and I need those for enchanting."

Glad about her quick response we bring the flier to the task counter to accept and both of our names are put down for the task. With all of the procedures finished we both start to head to the entrance of the cities dungeon.

"I can't believe how much has happened in the last few hours, right Aurelia?" I say this thinking about everything that led up to this point.

"Ya so much has happened so fast, I haven't had time to think at all. Now I'm just worried about whether or not Derek is okay. Especially after what Reya let slip about the possibility of someone interfering with people who can make big waves on earth." Aurelia had a hint of worry in her voice as she thought of her twin brother, saying the last part in an almost inaudible whisper in my ear.

"Someone is what?!" I said in a shocked whisper, realizing the severity of what she just said, "So your saying that Derek is also in danger of being killed off by whoever may be interfering?"

"Ya, exactly, what makes it worse is that when I talked to him right before I got in the game he was working on a major epiohany on the bio prosthetic he was working on. All of that work will be gone if he dies, and who knows when someone else will come up with the same chemical make ups for what he is doing. The only comfort I can find is that it is very likely that Reya will send him to this world if he does die."

"I guess we just need to keep our ears open for any unique classes or adventurers. I think he was going to go for a tamer class right?" As I was saying this I started to think about how we would find him if he didn't end up here. "Looks like we made it," I say seeing that we finally made it to the dungeon which looked like a cave leading into the mountain. We get into the que waiting for our turn to get into the dungeon.

It took a few minutes until we got to the front of the line, at wich we presented proof of the task, and were promptly told that those who have this task can skip to the front. Hearing this the both of us awkwardly scratched out head in embarassement. After letting us know that we were let into the dungeon without having to pay the fee, due to the quest. We then walked onto the platform and it activated, bringing us to a strange forested cavern.
