“And burn!” Myu’s flames lit up as another rock slug was cooked to a crisp. She had found out from Tilly that Tilly’s space was big, very big, like a city size big. She was just very arrogant, which made her unpopular. But what was even more special about Tilly was her space did not have time. Meaning anything that went in stayed the way it went in. Even if you pulled it out a hundred years later, it would still be the same as the day it went in. This was very handy to Myu since she planned to make a killing outside the dungeon with roasted rock slug.

“Mistress Flame, can I eat, please?” Tilly was unsure what to call Myu, so she had been calling her Mistress Flame. And this Mistress Flame was too lazy to correct her.

“Hmm? Food? Sure. One second.” Myu took the blade of her chain sword and cut her palm and let some blood drip into her palm. She had discovered that if she controlled her power just enough, she could let enough blood come out to fill the little porter’s belly. She also noticed that her porter would get hungry after a few kills. It seemed making an entrance to her space big enough to fit a rock slug took a lot of energy.

“Thank you! How many more of these things are you planning to store?” Tilly asked. She felt much more refreshed. She had to admit while she could not drink the blood directly, her contractor’s blood was amazingly good.

“That should be it. I killed ten so far, and the other teams here are looking at me funny.” Myu hated the glares. So before she went and killed people for glaring at her, she decided to continue deeper into the first floor.

“I wish I could get you to the second floor… These monsters are too easy for you to fight.” In the past few hours since they started their trip into the dungeon, Tilly had come to really like Myu’s personality. It meshed well with her own. While she had to watch not to say anything to anger the little flame demon, it was rather easy to talk with Myu, who seemed curious about many things.

“I would rather not skip things. The more practice I get, the better. The only thing that sucks about this floor is there are too many people farming.” Myu was having a hard time finding monsters to kill. She had to jump in and steal kills before others attacked them so that she could claim them as her own. This pulled a lot of ire from the other climbers. But she did not care. She was not here to please these people. “So let’s go deeper. The further we go, the better.”

What Myu noticed when she was frying up rock slugs was that the defeated ones, after a while, would turn into balls of light and disappear, leaving behind a gem in its place and sometimes monster parts. She wondered why when she fried the rock slugs, they also did not do the same unless she did it in a way that made it more of a monster part itself because she was cooking it. She had heard that many would eat monsters while in the dungeon as it would save on having to bring more supplies.

But the gems were used to power many of the technologies within Uruk. So they were always in high demand. The bigger the gem, the more money you would get from it when sold to the Guild Association. Although normally, these were sold to your own guild, and the guild would get a bit higher rate allowing them to make money and pay the climbers as well. Porters or dimensional bags were very important for a climber otherwise, they would not be able to bring back their huge halls after climbing so many floors.

Monsters normally respawned every few minutes, so there always has to be one person to go around picking up loot. This was either a guild member or a porter. For Myu and Tilly, this job would fall on Tilly. She would loot while Myu fought. She could not really assist in other ways besides looting. It also fell on to Myu to protect Tilly as well. But a good porter would always judge when to go in to loot. And would also keep an eye on for loot stealers.

Loot stealers were normally climbers who could not farm on their own and resorted to stealing loot from those who could. Even at this time, Myu was being followed by three of such people.

“Mistress Flame…. Three people are following us….” Tilly whispered as she landed on Myu’s shoulder.

“Oh? Loot stealers?” Myu mumbled to herself before stopping her steps. She gripped her chain sword, and with a quick standing one legged back flip, she kicked out her chain sword towards a large rock!

*Boom!*

“Hiyiii!” A man cried out as he was tossed through the air.

Myu’s body suddenly flared up with flames. Tilly, who was on her shoulder, panicked at first, only to realize the flames were not touching her. She could still feel some of the heat, but it was bearable. She looked up at Myu with eyes filled with surprise and wondered just what kind of a contractor she had gotten involved with. Everything about her was strange! As she gazed at Myu, she noticed Myu’s lips were curled up into a crazed smile.

“Oi! Get out here, or I will burn all your asses right now!” Myu suddenly yelled out. Her entire body was engulfed in flames. “You dare follow me but do not dare show yourselves!? Suit yourself! I will just set this whole room on fire!”

“Wait!” A voice rang out. A man with a beard walked out. His face was covered in sweat. The temperature in the room was already rising to a high degree. “We are sorry. Let us off, and we will leave you alone.”

“Leave me alone? Why? Why should I let you go when you dared to follow me for one reason or another? Why should I let a future threat go? What if you decided to try to stab me in the back while I was in a fight!? Why!? Why!? Why!? Hahaha! ” Myu let out a maniacal laugh as she tilted her head to the side with wide eyes and a sweet smile on her lips. She slowly parted them and said: “Just burn….”
