Seeing the growing Germanic man staring down at me, I couldn’t help but find myself wildly curious about how much of this new life was premeditated and how much was luck. After all, the wealthy Porshi family I found myself in were competitors to the Vagen family; both having come from Germany.

Though that was hardly surprising.

There were only a few countries within Europe that hadn’t become part of the Great German Empire after the first and, shortly following, second great wars where the Kaiser led the fatherland to glory. From then on it was easy to have Germany keep its place as the top country - with America only being able to spout their lies due to the vastness of their nation making invasion simply not worth the effort despite all their little prodding behaviours during and after the second great war.

Among the companies it was only obvious the two that practically represented the fabled ‘German Engineering’ would be the ones to succeed. Both Porshi & Vagen being two leading figures within the  realm of economics (thus also backroom politics) of the world  - with few other families able to even think of comparing to them. Even most royal families needed to bow their head with only the Hohenzollerns who ran Germany to this day garnering any respect from us.

Obviously my enemy in this life would just so happen to be Vagen with me having great desire to make Klaus suffer exactly what he deserves even if he never knew me even in my past life.

With my new family already being in prime position - in addition to having the desire - there is no way I wouldn’t be able to cut into his bottom line. There was the fact that I wasn’t their birth child so I may not be able to get as much support early into the game… Yet there is no doubt that will change when the world discovers the true worth hidden in Love Heart Online.

I would probably be able to create my own guild from day one and with my knowledge (and not money) there is nothing stopping me from recruiting the top players of the past… Or the future?

Time travel was still confusing.

Thanks to this there is no way I wouldn’t be able to cut the time needed to get what I want as well as greatly reducing the time. Now success within Love Heart Online was just a matter of waiting for the game to finally launch in 12 years time!

Perhaps I should check a calendar to make sure my dates are accurate - there may be some differences in my ages be-

“-Armor; your mind is wandering again!” Father raised his voice while having his hand come down to chop the centre of my head. There wasn’t actually any force behind the blow since he wouldn’t even pinch his children's ears due to how soft he secretly was.

Still I feigned pain as I clutched my head while lowering my overall body into a slouch; peering up to father with tearful eyes after letting out a little “oof”. “Sowy…”

Clearly he wasn’t actually angry at me, the five year old girl, finding her mind wandering while he was trying to lecture me. Just like me he fancified disappointment - letting out a long sigh while pinching the bridge of his nose. “You’ve always been an airheaded child so there is no way I could expect you to sit through a lecture if even your little sister can’t…”

“I will do better!” I asserted while pounding my chest with a close fist as I couldn’t help feel some warmth from the undertones of his own sentence. Although at first it showed disappointment it showed something worth even more - he instinctively placed me on the same level as his own blood daughter who he went through much struggle before attaining.

As such, I let my body profess my joy in the form of a bubbly smile that seemed to do a lot to sooth the wrinkles in the corner of his eyes. Seemingly he wasn’t even able to pretend to be displeased with me - only confirming his doting nature of us daughters of his.

I suppose my conviction in taking down Vagen could align with ensuring that the Porshi is the number one company in the new world?

“Now I called you here because your birth parents left me with two boxes; they told me to present them to you on this very day hence here you are.” So he divulged while turning around to walk closer to the shooting range.

Father himself was exactly like a German businessman should be - slicked black blonde hair with sharp sapphire blue coloured eyes. All wrapped up in a fine tailored suit that showed off his perfectly sculpted body in fine yet simplistic blacks & whites. Even now he took off his black blazer in a refined & graceful manner to hang one of the chairs off to the side.

It was like watching the motions of a model showing off the best humanity can provide.

Halfway there he turned around to look at me, motioning with his head to follow along so that’s exactly what I did. Some may find his sharp blue eyes menacing yet, to me, they only held the intentions to raise his children correctly so they don’t end up like those monsters in HERO.

Perhaps I should steal the name?

That would be amusing since there are no duplicate guild names allowed in the game…

“Have a look in them while I take a call over there.“ Once more I was brought out of my thoughts by fathers remark as he brought out his holopad; rather simplistic as it just appeared like a fancy black pen that expanded out with the interactive hologram. Before he walked off he motioned to two boxes (one black as night and the other grey with bubblegum pink highlights) in front of a little step ladder so I could reach both.

It was expected that a rich family would have such equipment - of course it was our servants who often brought along for the three of us. However, when one considers that there were no servants, only father could have moved this here for me if Thompson was waiting for me in the manor. Not exactly the work you would expect from one of the 5 wealthiest men on the planet.

I have to emphasise that - yet again - I cannot help feel attachments forming to this new family that my true parents have provided me with.

Didn’t want to keep father waiting, though, so my hands reached out to grab the black box first to open it up. Within the box was a mirror; which revealed to me a cute little round face with chubby cheeks that contained a little button nose over some plump lips and under two large bright eyes that possessed gleaming pink pupils. Between those eyes was strangely a shining elliptical bubblegum pink gem that was usually hidden under my fringe.

Of course, the girl was me, but I had to say that I looked very beautiful though I certainly found my hair as well as skin colour quite interesting. My natural skin tone looked as if it were covered in too much tan (resulting in heavy bronzing to the point of shininess) while my hair was no better; being bleached blonde with pink dyed tips. Neither of those things actually being the case - I was just a five year old after all.

I liked it though.

Certainly curious yet not to focus much on when there was even more than a simple mirror within the box. In fact, there was both a weighted rope dart & scythe located inside, weapons I had been trained to use by my mommy thus making it obvious who exactly gifted me this box.

Both weapons weren’t the sharpest things - being produced from a steel alloy which is hardly comparable to what would be obtainable in the future - yet they were competent enough for now.

Pulling the other box in front of me, to open up, I found myself gasping at the sight of a beautiful glistening black gem that seemed encrusted into the underside of the lid. It wasn’t the beauty that caught my eye but instead the similarity it had to [Spirit Stones] that were used as the game's versions of “exp packets” (as written in Umpa Lumpa’s notes).

The gems actually each had their own elements attached which npc’s with inspection being needed to ensure the gem was really the exact element you assumed. Using an element that didn’t suit you would instead weaken your character; though you would need to be a fool to do that. They all tended to be  made from rather bright colours although still depending on the element contained within them - quite unlike the night-sky like appearance of this gem.

An eerie shadowy darkness was being emitted from the gem - creating a black haze that began to pour out from the box after I had begun opening it.

When that black haze finally weakened enough to grant access inside, I saw a single matte black revolver sitting there with some ammunition already prepared on 8 speedloaders. This box must have been from my father - who I have little to no information on… Although, if mother copulated with them, their strength must be just as frightening as hers to someone as weak as me.

Unconsciously my hand drifted across the smooth body of the weapon - only to slightly graze that gem which is chilling to the extremity of my fingers. That touch alone was enough for it to explode out to pierce into my eyes… Not hurt at all actually.

I'm even surprised with how calm I’m managing to be.

Though, what is appearing in front of my eyes certainly is causing a pain of a different kind.

Info: Thought that since I did not appear in the least in life due to setting up things for the second, I may as well give you some benefits early on to make up for it. This system should help you in gaining early advantages in training for the game - I don’t usually deal with the programming side of crafting so you better be thankful - meanwhile that gun is pretty much useless as a weapon. Your adopted parents told me I wasn’t allowed to give you a real hand cannon so a subpar ‘babies first pistol’ will have to do.

(P.S. A cigar is hidden under the gun)

This certainly is enough to cause a headache…

How in the name of The Infinite Mother did father manage to create a functioning system that could install itself within me?

Although the game certainly did ‘leak out’ into real life, with even those who never played having several chances to unlock the system, that was only after the game had made its impact. As of right now the game hadn’t even been advertised and wouldn’t for a decade at least. Despite that, here I was, looking at a game panel.

Nevertheless - this panel seemed slightly unusual - with its black form with bubblegum pink text that was certainly different from the regular blue. I had heard that the system notification window changes depending on the rank when an item is being inspected…

Then maybe this system in general is higher ranked?

That begs the question…

Just who is my father really to have the ability & resources to create something like this?

Plus… what is up with that statement at the end?

“This makes no sense…” I unconsciously murmur.
