“The blade is made of blood and can cut through metal. But since it is made of blood, I can control it at will, which means I can sit here all day and chase you around with it.” Shizuku’s explanation made Amy’s face pale. She did not want to run around all day!

“Okay, you pass! If you can do this, then there is no way you can die to low-level monsters! So please stop chasing me!” Amy cried out. She was starting to get tired! But she was very surprised. The fact that she could create something like that with her own blood was as if she was a walking legendary weapon. A blade of blood sharp enough to cut through metal was no joke!

“Yay! Victory!” Shizuku let out a laugh as she summoned the blade of blood back and sucked it up. It quenched the thirst she was getting from draining so much blood.

“Victory is right. To be able to defeat me proves you are strong. I do not think I have to worry if Sandy tries to ambush you. I can only ask that you do not kill her.” Amy did not mind if Sandy was taught a lesson, but she did not wish for her to die.

“As long as she does not try to kill me, then there is no problem with abiding by your request. But if she tries to kill me, then it’s either her or me.” Shizuku did not wish to take another’s life, but if someone pushed her to that point and tried to kill her, she would return the sentiment in kind.

“I understand, and thank you. Let’s go and get you your guild card.” Amy let out a small sigh of relief as she began walking towards the exit. She was glad that this was only a test and not a battlefield. If Shizuku had been out to kill her,  she knew that that blade of blood would have sliced her in two.

Up in one of the windows overlooking the training field, an old man with a long gray beard stood there staring at the three girls walking away. “A beast kin who can push out that much power at level 1 and a vampire strong enough to take out Amy. It seems things will be interesting around here. I wonder what kind of new waves this vampire will bring within this kingdom. Maybe even the world. But to think the church would toss out a hero.”

The old man thought for a moment before turning his head towards the shadow. “Jenna, watch over her. Only  help her if she is about to die.”

“Yes, Guild Master.” A figure appeared in the shadow. It was a young woman with black hair wearing a blank white mask. She wore dark ninja style looking clothes and had multiple daggers tucked into her belt. After accepting the guild master’s request, she disappeared back into the shadows as if she was never there.

“With this, I can protect you from the assassins that are sure to come. The church will not let a Fallen go, not when their goddess actually changed the race of a human.” The Guild Master, Benjamin Harold looked at the letter in his hand but not at the words but at the hidden text. “It’s good that she had handed this letter to the guild. It had bought her a bit of time to grow stronger.”

In the lobby, with many eyes on her, Shizuku stood there with a bronze-colored card in her hand. “So this is my adventurer’s card.”

“It will enable you to enter any and all cities and towns around the world without needing to pay the entrance fee. If it is lost, you will need to pay a fee of one gold to get a new one. Are there any other questions?” Amy was more than happy to answer anything Shizuku had questions about.

“No, that is about it for the process of things. I will probably go check out the dungeon after this. Are there any requests I can do while I am there?” Shizuku wanted to see if she could get a few levels on her and Mei before nightfall.

“Hmmm… for the first floor, if you can collect jellies from slimes and turn them in, they are 2 copper a piece. Then there are horns from horn rabbits for 4 copper a piece. Silk from a shimmer silkworm for 10 copper a piece.  We will collect as many as you can get. Do not head to the second floor until you reach level 5. It is dangerous otherwise.” She did not expect Shizuku to level up too quickly, but she still wished to warn her before she decided to head to the second level without realizing how dangerous it could be.

“I will stay on the first floor. I need to practice fighting anyway.” Shizuku was not stupid. She had no idea how to fight any monsters. They were unlike humans and were much more unpredictable. Some didn’t even know the idea of pain and would charge at you, trying to take you out with them. This was why she had bought Mei as well to help her so that she did not end up dead on her first outing.

“Alright then, let’s get you to sign some paperwork….”
