Eve turned to see Lilly running over, her black hair bouncing up and down as she ran. Her cute little face was full of life as she hurried over.  "Aiu, is it wrong to love cute things?"

"I see nothing wrong with liking cute things. I am quite fond of cute things myself." Aiu answered truthfully. She also found that although Lilly was human, she was pretty cute when you took a good look at her.

"Of course you would! I coded you that way." Eve teased.

"Humph!" Aiu snorted, but she was happy that her and Eve's likes were the same.

Lilly pulled hard on the hook in her hand that had the cable attached to it to get some more slack before handing it to Eve. "Here you go! Once you get it secure, I will reel in some of the slack to make sure it is nice and tight."

"Alright." Eve smiled inwardly as she took the hook and began securing the cable to it. After a few minutes and making sure it would not come undone, Eve nodded her head in satisfaction. "It's secure. Let's get it nice and tight before we descend. I will have to carry you on my back."

"Alright," Lilly said with a smile. She was having so much fun right now. Having someone with her while she explored ruins was much more fun than being by herself.

After the two walked outside, Eve watched over Lilly as she worked the loader's switches to pull the slack on the hook. "That should be good. Shut it down and take the keys out of the ignition. The last thing we want is someone to come and steal the truck."

"Yeah, I really do not want to get an earful from that old man. He can be pretty mean when he wants to be, especially after I dented one of the panels last time… Then there was the time the bumper fell off…" Lilly's voice got lower and lower as she talked. It seemed to Eve that Lilly had had a hard time with this loader, causing her to be scolded by the owner of it.

Eve stared down the elevator shaft that was pitch black to the naked eye, but she could easily see down inside. The elevator itself was stuck on the bottom floor, and the pulley system was now sitting on top of it. Seeing how everything seemed clear, Eve turned her back to Lilly and knelt down. "Get on, but be careful not to cut yourself on my body. Although this suit should keep you from getting hurt."

"Mm.." Lilly blushed as she slowly climbed onto Eve's back and held onto her tightly. She wrapped her arms around Eve's neck and her legs around her waist, making sure not to obstruct her legs as much as possible.

"Alright, here we go," Eve said as she grabbed the cable gave it a good tug before slowly making her descent down into the elevator shaft. The first subfloor was actually quite deep in the ground. It took almost ten minutes just to get to it. Eve held onto the cable with her left hand and planted her feet against the wall while using her free hand to pry the door open.

"Ahh!" Lilly yelled out as a pile of bodies fell from the now open door.

"I do not think this was a regular laboratory, and it seems this floor was never searched..." Eve frowned. She pushed off the wall, swinging backward, letting the pile of dead bodies fall down the elevator shaft.

"Hah! That scared the crap out of me. I thought it was zombies or something."  Lilly let out a huge sigh of relief.

"Eve, the air is clean. It seems the bodies here are all mummified. It might just smell a little." Aiu reported.

"Lilly, the air is safe to breathe, but it might stink. I will carry you across the corpses, so hang on to me for the time being." Eve kicked off the wall to get a good momentum to make her jump inside. As the cable returned back towards the door, Eve let go and jumped up over the pile of bodies that were lying on the floor, landing on top of one of them, crushing some bones in the process.

"It's hard to see..." Lilly really couldn't see much. There was only a bit of bounce light from upstairs, but even that was very faint at the elevator's entrance. Now, down inside the elevator shaft on the floor below, there was no light at all. "Hold on. I will pull out a flashlight."

"Hold off for now. Wait until we get out of this mess of bodies." Eve could hear the bones underfoot cracking as they broke under her weight. Once she made her way down the hallway a little bit, she finally stopped and let Lilly off her back. "Shine your flashlight ahead unless you want to see a pile of dead bodies."

"Ahaha… Yeah, I think I will pass." Lilly preferred not to have nightmares, so she made sure not to turn around. She fished her flashlight out of her bag and turned it on. "This place is very clean."

"It was sealed off without any chance for air to get in after the power went out, so this would be normal. Labs are also normally clean rooms which is why the bodies back there turned into mummies as there was nothing here to break them down. For now, let's check some of the rooms. See if we can find the chemicals I will need." Eve walked to the first door to her right and peeked through the window to make sure no strange monsters were inside before kicking the door off its hinges.

"Eve!" Lilly yelled out. She was not looking at what Eve was doing, and with the sudden loud banging, Lilly almost jumped out of her skin. "That scared me to death!"

"Hehe!" Eve smiled inwardly. She turned and looked at Lilly whose cheeks were puffed out and red from embarrassment and said: "Sorry."

"It's fine. Is the air in there safe?" Lilly asked, trying to change the subject.

"Yeah come on in."
