The light from the flashlight cut through the darkness casting a circle shape against the far wall illuminating everything in its path. "Everything here is untouched… I heard people had ransacked this place before, but it seems they were lying."

"They probably spread the rumor to keep people from searching the place. But this allows me to take my pick first. I need silicone and a large amount of it. But I might as well take all these chemicals..." Eve went straight to the cabinet and started pulling all the chemicals off the shelf. They were things she figured she would never be able to get and might come in handy later on. It was just that, as she pulled things off the shelf, she was shoving them into her inventory which was making Lilly stare at her in shock once again. Even though she had seen it before, the fact that Eve was putting things into the air and making them disappear was truly shocking.

"Umm..." Unable to hold back her curiosity, Lilly finally asked: "How are you doing that?"

"With my hands," Eve said without a second thought ending the conversation there. She did not know how to explain it, so she was not going to. It never crossed Eve's mind once that she should not show people this ability, nor did she care. She just continued her looting spree shoving all the chemicals she found into her inventory. This included the much-needed equipment she was going to need as well.

Lilly pouted after being flat-out rejected by Eve. She really wanted to know the trick behind it! But it seemed she would need to wait until one day Eve decided to answer her. But for now, since it seemed it would annoy Eve if she pried too much, she bit her tongue and just watched in awe as Eve made everything in the room disappear.

They hit every room in the hall they were in and cleaned them all clean. It was not until they reached the second hall that things began to change. "Aiu, what is the air like here? Will it harm Lilly?"

"From what I can tell, although there are spores in the air, they do not seem like it would harm a human. But she should cover her nose and mouth." Aiu answered. In front of them, the walls were covered in some kind of strange purple plant life. Even though the air was dry, the plants seemed to be thriving without issue.

Eve turned around and was going to tell Lilly to cover her face, but it seemed Lilly was one step ahead. She had pulled out a mask that covered her nose and mouth and a pair of goggles. "You had that this entire time?"

"Mmm… Sorry I couldn't get them out earlier because I was holding on to you, and before you said the air was safe, so I didn't need to put them on but seeing these things, I decided to cover up." Lilly answered honestly. Normally if she was in a building that looked unsafe, she would wear her goggles and mask that had ventilators on them. But today, she was with Eve and was relying on Eve's ability to test the air and tell her if it was safe or not. Lilly seemed to have unconditional trust in Eve's words. Why this was, was probably due to the fact that she knew Eve needed her. So she would believe Eve even if another human who was of the same race as her said otherwise.

"It's fine. It's good that you came prepared. By the way, during the war between humans and A.I, did the humans fire off any nuclear weapons?" Eve had been wondering this for a while since it seemed like something the governments of the world would have done a long time ago. Seeing the mask on Lilly reminded her of the topic.

"Ummm, I believe they did. They fired off quite a few of them in fact. But after the first wave of missiles and seeing how it did not do anything to their enemy, new weapons began to be created. Both A.I. and humans advanced by leaps and bounds when it came to weapons. Even now, weapons advancements are still being made. While there are still battles here and there, the battle lines are further north from here. If this was a few decades ago, I would not be so carefree and would probably be on the front lines right now." Lilly answered. She was once again thanking the gods for allowing her to be born in this time.

"Don't jinx yourself too much because you never know what the future may hold. What if the A.I. have been biding their time creating new and more powerful versions of themselves to do one last final sweep. Then your peaceful life would be turned upside down, and you would be forced to fight." Eve replied.

Her words struck Lilly hard. She had never actually thought of it like that since things had been so peaceful. It was true that the A.I. had been sending out many more scavenger bots as of late. She began to wonder if Eve's words were true. This also made Lilly wonder if the reason why Eve needed to enter X-Cyber City was to prepare for the invasion. Her killing the scavenger earlier was all just for show. She looked up at Eve with a worried expression, only to see Eve look at her with her single eye and say: "I am not on anyone's side. The only thing I care about is fixing my body and upgrading it. As long as humans do not attack me, I will not attack them, and the same goes for any A.I. If they don't attack me, I will not attack them either.

"This does not mean I will not defend my home, though. So if such a thing does happen, I will protect my home to a certain extent, but I will not give my life for it. The question is, during that time, Lilly, will you still see me as some you can trust as you do now? Or will you become my enemy?"
