I was walking my dog down the normal path I usually take outside of town near the Dark Forest. As I was walking, I saw one of the most beautiful girls I have ever seen carrying a large horned bear on her back. I was surprised at first, but then figured she was just an adventurer. It would not be abnormal to see them carrying such a large beast. But the way she lowered her head as she shyly tried to walk by me really captivated me. As she passed, I stood there dazed, remembering that beautiful face of hers. It was then that it felt like my leash had grown lighter. When I looked down, the leash seemed to have been bitten off, and my precious Puchi was no longer there. I quickly turned and asked the girl who had just walked by if she had seen where Puchie went.

"Hmm? Puchi? Puchi, where did you go!? Puchi!? Excuse me, Miss, have you seen my dog? She was attached to this leash here, but now she's gone..." My words got caught in my throat as I looked at the girl. She was as beautiful if not more beautiful seeing her face fully up close, but that was not what stopped my words, it was the blood leaking out from the corners of the girl's mouth, and the piece of my Puchi's blue leash was clearly visible between her lips.

I really did not want to believe it, but then she burped and coughed up Puchi's collar. She looked at it and then tossed it back into her mouth, chewing it up as if it was a piece of bread!  "Ahhh!!!!"

I screamed before turning and running back towards the village. There was no way this girl was human! She must be a monster in disguise!

So I saw the small dog and just couldn't resist. It had a skill called <Heightened Sense (Lvl 8)>. I mean, anyone would do what I did. What? I am a horrible person for eating the poor dog? Look, I had no choice, alright! I can't gain skills any other way! And to have the ability to sense things earlier than I normally could, I can save myself from a lot of danger. Anyway, the dog did not taste half bad. It almost tastes like cheap Chinese food without the flavoring.

The only thing that somewhat shocked me was that the man actually talked to me. I basically froze in place and forgot to suck in the rest of the leash I had bitten off. So it was no surprise that the man ran away from me. As for my new skill? Well, the information is as so.

<Heightened Sense (Lvl 1)>

[The owner will have a heightened sense of smell and sight. It also allows the owner to see better at night.]

So without a second thought, I continued following the path. Many grannies with baskets on their heads carrying fruits and vegetables and other objects passed by saying hi to me. I, of course, ignored them, which seemed to make them mad. But what was I supposed to do? It's not like I can hold a conversation with them. I even got yelled at a few times!

Of course, I did not just stand there and take it. When they got fed up with my blank look, they turned and walked away, which is when I would snatch everything from their baskets on their head and ate it in a few gulps. By the time the grannies found something wrong I had already swallowed their entire crop.

There would be screams of anger coming from the grannies as I walked by them. The funny part was that none of them ever suspected it was me. They would walk over and start hitting some other person with a big sack that was near them, accusing them of stealing her crops. As for me, who was now considered an innocent bystander. I giggled internally. I mean, come on, that was really funny. The surprised look on the faces of the big burly men was priceless, especially when they started getting hit by the grannies!

About two hours later, I finally made it to town. Now this town is what I had expected of a fantasy world such as this. There were tall stone walls that had a huge wooden gate attached to it. These stone walls were at least sixty meters high. Standing at the gate were two guards.  They seemed to be looking at me. It is probably the large bear I have on my back.

Or I could be completely wrong. "Miss, we need you to come with us. It has been reported that you killed someone's pet and ate it."

Now, this is a bit awkward since if I do not try to defend myself, they will really think I am such a horrible person who would eat someone's precious pet. What? You say I am that horrible person? No, no, I only ate the dog because it gave me a skill I did not have yet. Huh? That doesn't change the fact that I did eat the dog? Why is everyone so hung up on details?

"Miss this way, please." The guard gestured for me to follow them through a small door by the side of the gate. Umm… does this guard not see the big bear on my back? Does he really want me to go through the door? Does he really think I will be willing to give up my afternoon snack just because he says so? "Miss, please do not resist. We will take the bear to the adventurers guild for you and turn it in. We will provide a receipt from the guild, so you know that we are not trying to steal your items."

Wait a minute! Does this man want to take my stuff and turn it into money! No! This is my snack! S.N.A.C.K! Huff! Huff! It's times like these that I wished I had the ability to open my mouth and talk. But even in times like these, I still can't do it. The only option left is to…

*Wack!*

Knock them out and run for it!
