“Huh? Yeah. Sorry I never used this weapon before….” Myu blushed as she wound up the chain sword.

“You should probably learn with a rope dart first. While the dart is thicker, at least there is no blade. As long as you do not get hit in the head, you should be fine. Once you get used to it, then you can switch to the sword.” Kori was trying to give some advice because she did not wish for Myu to get stabbed through.

“No, I will practice with this.” Myu did not see a reason to use the rope dart. Even if she was stabbed through, she was fifty percent sure that she would heal right away.

“But….” Kori wanted to discourage Myu from using a weapon with a blade on it like this until she got used to the movements. “Just for training, you should use the ro….”

“No, the weight is different. The length is also different. The way it would be handled is similar, but I would need to relearn how to use it as a sword and not just a lump of metal.” Myu’s determination was clearly written on her face. Myu did not know why, but she felt that this was something she had to learn as is and not something she could replace easily with something similar that might be safer to use.

“Well said, kid!” A voice came from above them. A young woman wearing a brown short skirt and a white cloth wrapped around her chest dropped down from above. “The rope dark is for smashing while the chain sword is for slicing and stabbing. They are fundamentally the same, but at the same time, they are not. Chain swords are much harder to use.”

The young woman walked over to the table and picked up another chain sword, and swung it around before kicking it out with her foot, letting it shoot out and then jerking it back when it reached its full length before spinning her body around, allowing for the blade to sweep the area. When the hilt of the sword returned to her, she once more kicked it out with a side kick, but this time she jerked it back before it reached its peak length and shot it back at full force.

The hilt came at her body, but as she stood to the side, the sword seemed to understand what she was planning and spun around and pointed in the opposite direction as it shot out once more. She then ducked down and spun around once more, allowing the chain to begin wrapping around her arm until the sword hit was in the palm of her hand. Then she began dancing with both the chain and sword, using medium ranged attacks to short range attacks from defensive to offensive. She showed each movement in fluid motions allowing Myu to see just how versatile the sword truly was.

“Wow!” Myu was quite amazed. She felt that instead of using a weapon, the young woman was dancing!

“Hehe… If you act like that, I will feel shy!” The young woman rubbed her nose, her tanned cheeks blushing.

“Aeko, you are back?” Kori smiled as she saw the young woman. She had short red hair, tanned skin, and a petite frame. She liked being able to move freely, so she always wore a white cloth wrapped around her chest and a brown skirt with a slit in it that had built in underwear. The skirt rose up to her mid thigh allowing perfect freedom as she moved.

“Just got back now. I saw Fina fussing about you being here, saying something along the lines that Kori was cheating on her. Of course, I gave her a chop on the head for ya. Anyway…” Aeko looked at Myu with a big smile and asked: “Little one, would you like me to show you the basics?”

“Oh?” Kori raised an eyebrow. She never thought that Aeko would offer to train Myu. Then again, there were not many who would have the skill to use a chain sword as well as her. Most stick to easier weapons like swords, hammers, and bows. She also fell into this category.

“Oh, what!? Can’t I train a new chain sword user? Even if she is not part of the guild, I can still do so! There are no more than three chain sword users in all of Uruk, and two of them suck so bad they will probably cut their heads off one day!” Aeko was very proud of her skills and always wanted a mini version of her.

“Well, that is up to Myu. What do you think? Want Aeko here to teach how to properly use the chain sword?” Kori asked.

“Yes!” Myu knew she would be a fool to say no! To be able to have a proper teacher was like a gift from the gods. If you did not count her awakening, that is. Either way, to be able to learn from someone who had just demonstrated how skillful they were with the chain sword made Myu even more excited. The versatility it gave was absolutely insane!

“Haha! I like this kid. She shows no hesitation in making her decisions.” Aeko reached out to rub Myu’s head, but just before her hand was about to touch the fluffy looking white hair, a hand grabbed her wrist.

“I would not do that if I was you.” Kori did not wish for there to be an injury all of a sudden.

Aeko, whose hand was currently hovering over the fluffy white hair, could feel the heat hitting her palm and gulped slightly. She gave Kori a grateful look as she slowly retracted her hand.

Myu tilted her head in confusion. She had been wondering for a while now about why people kept retracting their hands when trying to pet her head.
