“No!” Rio yelled out as her body moved to protect his sister.

*Shink!*

The sound of something piercing flesh was heard. This was followed by the sounds of liquid dripping onto the ground. Myu stared up at the blade that had pierced through her sister's chest. She looked at the blood that was dripping off the blade. Her eyes wide, uncertain that what she was seeing was even real. She didn’t understand. She didn’t understand why this was happening. She wondered if it was a crime to try to survive. Was it a crime to want to fill her stomach?

Why did her sister, who had cared for her since she was young, risking her life every day, need to die? Why!? Why!? Myu held her head. Her mind was a mess. She could hear the sound of the blade being pulled from her sister’s body. She could see the blood flowing out like a waterfall from the wound coming from her sister's back, yet her sister did not fall. She still stood there, her back straight with her arms spread out in front of her. At that moment, it was as if time had stopped for Myu. Something in her mind snapped as she looked at her sister in front of her. She could only repeat the same words over and over. “Why!? Why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why….. WHY!?”

*Boom!*

A pillar of golden light fell from the sky and enveloped Myu. The well built man furrowed his brow as he looked at the golden pillar of light. “For fucks sake! You are actually awakening now!?" The well built man did not know what god took pity on the little girl, but for him, it should not be a problem to take out a newborn awakened. "Heh. Not that it matters. I will just wait for you to finish, then kill you the same as I did to this brat here.”

Myu could only think of one thing. The world was unfair. The man who killed her sister was unfair. She wanted to destroy everything. She wanted to make the man who harmed her world feel pain worse than death. Rage… Wrath… all of this began to build up inside her. The golden light began to dye red before suddenly turning into a pillar of fire.

The well built man’s face began to change. He had never seen an awakening like this. He looked at the little girl whose clothes had long been burnt off. Her skin was boiling under the flames of the fire. Her body was slowly rising into the air. But her gaze had been locked on to him this entire time. This gaze made the well built man step back. He did not like this gaze at all. It scared him. His instincts were telling him to run, that this young girl was dangerous. He took a few more steps back before deciding it was not worth it. He rather trust his instincts that he had honed while in the tower. Those same instincts that had kept him alive all this time.

But as he went to try to jump into the nearest shadow, the flames surrounding Myu suddenly erupted. Creating a circle of fire around Myu and the well built man. The shadows that were once there had all disappeared due to the light of the flame.

“What!? Why!?” The well built man began to panic as he looked for a way to escape.

As for Myu, her head was starting to hurt. Her hair seemed to turn into the flames that were burning her body. Even the charred skin slowly began to flake off as her body began to turn into flames. A runic character reading the word wrath suddenly formed on Myu’s forehead as her eyes began to glow a fiery red, flames wrapped around her body. A large red bow formed on the top of her head, holding her long white hair back out of the way. A white shirt and red suspenders that connected to red pants also formed, along with a pair of red boots.

The red pillar of light slowly dissipated, and Myu floated to the ground, landing softly on her two feet. Her head lowered, making it hard to see her face. The well built man looked at the little girl with a bit of fear as well as a bit of hesitation. He did not know if he should attack or not. But even after waiting a few seconds and seeing that the wall of flames around him was not disappearing anytime soon, he gritted his teeth and decided that in order for him to escape and live to see another day that he had no choice but to kill the little girl in front of him. “Fuck!” Swearing at the top of his lungs, the well built man lunged forward with his blood stained sword. He aimed it right for the little girl's heart.

Even as the well built man rushed towards her, Myu did not move. She did not even react as the blade in the well built man’s hands pierced into her chest, stabbing her through the heart. Instead…. “Heh…. Hahahahaha!” A maniacal laugh was heard as the little girl suddenly raised her head with a crazed smile as she said: “Die!”

*Boom!*

Flames burst forth from Myu, engulfing the well built man, causing him to cry out in agony as his skin began to burn and melt under the extreme heat. Myu held the blade of the sword that was in her chest, causing it to begin to melt under the flames spewing from her hands. Her entire body had become an embodiment of wrath. Flames of wrath engulfed her and the well built man. The entire time as she stood there with half a sword in her chest, the smile on her lips never changed.

The only thing that was strange was that Rio’s lifeless body, even after slumping to the ground, was not harmed by any of the flames that danced around her. Even if they touched her, they caused her no harm.

Myu looked at the pile of ashes in front of her with a wide grin as she reached toward her chest and pulled out the remains of the sword that had pierced her heart. But surprisingly, even though blood dripped from her wound, the wound slowly began to heal along with her clothes. The last of the flames in the area seemed to be sucked into her body, causing her hair to flutter ever so slightly. On her right arm, a fiery tattoo appeared with runic markings. This was the mark of an awakened. A god had taken pity on her in that instant and gave her the power to survive and gain revenge for those who did her wrong and took her world from her. But it seemed that besides the flames of wrath, Myu had also gained another power… Immortality.
