Rock slugs, while normally a slug would not have a shell, did have a shell or more like wheels. They did not have the same kind of shell a snail would have, but two shells on each side of it that acted as wheels allowing the slug to move faster by propelling itself by spinning the shells. When protecting itself, it would shrink its body down, and the two shells would then close up around it, making it hard to finish it off.

This was to be Myu’s first fight against a monster. A floor one monster was normally not too difficult, but Myu had two factors that people would look down on. First, she was ten years old and small. Second, she had no battle experience whatsoever. But battle experience only came with proper training and actual combat.

Luckily for Myu, she had the flames of wrath. The god, or more like the goddess of wrath, Aizen Myoo, had taken pity on her and gave Myu her wrathful flames. These flames could burn anything to ash. They were the hottest flames of all the gods and goddesses. This was why she was one of the most feared goddesses.

“Buguiee!” The rock slug made a strange sound as it spotted Myu and began spinning its wheels. The sudden attack stunned Myu, who did not expect that the rock slug would be so fast.

She had no choice but to dodge to the side, tumbling across the rocky ground. Her hands, elbows, and knees were getting scuffed up in the process. But as the trickle of blood came out of her wounds, the wounds flared up with fire and were instantly healed.

Myu did not notice this at all as her only thought at this time was to fight the rock slug who had turned around and was heading right towards her. She reached out with her hand and let out a wave of flames that slammed into the oncoming rock slug. “Buguieee!!!!!!!!” Another strange sound came from the rock slug as it quickly stopped in its tracks and hid in its shell.

Myu kept the flames going, heating the shell up and causing it to even glow red. After almost a minute under the flames, Myu stopped her flames and walked over to the shell. She did not want to destroy the shell. She wanted to sell it for some money if possible.

She looked at the shell that was twice as tall as her and frowned slightly. After scratching her head, she bent down, and with her little hands, she stuck them underneath the shell and lifted with everything she had. It was just that… “It’s light!?” Myu did not know why it was so light, but it was. Her strength seemed to have skyrocketed after her awakening.

With the shell raised above her head, she did not even try to open it since she didn't want to damage it anymore than it already was. Her only goal right now was to take it back and maybe have enough money for a meal and a room at an inn.

With these thoughts in mind, Myu’s mood was boosted a bit more. She walked down the tunnels with many eyes on her once again. But no one stopped her or tried to take away what was hers.

When she exited the dungeon, the guard who had stopped her before stared at the little girl with the huge shell over her head and quickly stepped back. He had learned his lesson not to judge people by looks anymore after his sword was destroyed due to this same little girl melting it.

Just as Myu was about to pass the guard, she stopped and looked at him, and asked: “Where can I sell this?”

“Hiuh!?” The guard was not expecting the girl to talk to him and made a strange sound in response.

“I asked if you could tell me where I can sell this. Preferably someplace that won’t rip me off….” Myu repeated herself but also wanted to make sure she would not get some third rate shop that would rip her off due to her looks and age.

“Ah! Yes. ummm…” The guard fell into thought. He was not a climber, so he really didn't know the best places.

It was then that a voice came from behind Myu. “Little one. I will buy your shell for one gold.”

Myu turned around to see a young woman in her late teens with a sword hanging off her hip. Her armor alone told Myu that she was a veteran climber. Myu did not know who she was but felt she was quite beautiful. Ice Blue hair with ice blue sapphire eyes to match.  I was only when someone yelled out: “It’s the Ice Princess Kori!” that Myu realized who this young woman truly was.

Myu's eyes widened. She had heard about Kori. They called her the Ice Princess because she was favored by the goddess of ice. Her entire being could be said to be ice. It is said that she had turned the third floor into an entire ice field after one of her party members was hurt and froze all the monsters on the floor. It was not just her ice that made her famous, though. Her sword technique was also said to be quite amazing.

“Little one?” Kori looked at the frozen little girl in front of her and tilted her head in confusion.

“Ah, sorry! I… You said a gold coin!?” Myu asked.

“Mmm… Normally such a shell would need to be broken in half, and the shards would only be worth a few silver, but you brought back both halves in one piece. While slightly burnt, it is still of decent quality and can be crafted into shields and other armor pieces. But even then, it would only be worth around sixty silver. So I don't think one gold is a bad offer?”
