While Desaray was running with her life on the line, Ricky watched helplessly as his daughter got further and further away from him. “Mr. Harris, what do we do!? Desa is trapped!”

Becky’s voice snapped Ricky out of his trance. He looked at the small blue back getting smaller by the second and was about to yell out, when the ground that was on the other side where Desaray was seemed to be getting lower and lower. “What the hell is going on!?”

“I think we are rising!” Becky and the others all began to panic. They did not know what exactly was happening, but it did seem to be the case that they were rising up into the air.

“The system did say that the landscape would change. This means….” Yu spoke up, reminding everyone about the messages they got.

What they could not see was that in an almost egg-like shape, the land that Ricky and the rest were on was indeed rising into the air. It had been cut free from the ground. It was not even moving slowly but rather quickly as it rose up into the sky.

Ricky looked down over at Desaray, who was still running, and finally yelled out: “Desa! No matter what, stay alive! We will meet again!”

Desaray heard her father’s voice through the rumbling behind her and turned her head to see the land rising into the air. She skidded to a stop just a few feet from where the ground stopped crumbling away, her eyes wide in shock. But they soon teared up, seeing how her father and her friends were now trapped on the newly formed floating island. “Dad!”

She did not want to be left alone. She did not know if she could survive on her own. She had been keeping herself going this entire time because she had others around her, but now. Desaray’s tail slumped down her eyes lowered as tears began to roll down her blue-scaled cheeks.  “Nooo….” Desaray suddenly spoke up. She wiped her tears and looked at the floating island and could still see her father looking over the edge down at her. She cupped her paws around her mouth and yelled out: “Dad! I will find a way to get to you! So you must live as well!”

Desaray had no idea how she was going to get up there, but she could only hope that her next evolution would allow her to fly. If she could, then she would fly up to the floating island and find them.

How long it will take, she did not know. She could only hope she could find some monsters that were easy to kill to grind off of. Even as she was trying to tell herself that things would be okay as long as she evolved, she still could not help but let the tears fall. She had already been through so much, and now she would not even know if her father and friends would be safe. She did not even know if she would be able to survive on her own. She had enough food to last a while and a few other things, but that did not mean she would be able to keep herself alive for long.

On top of the floating island, looking down at his daughter, who now looked like an ant due to how high up they were, Ricky clenched his fists. He had to figure out a way to get off this island and return to his daughter’s side. He would have jumped off if the chasm below was not so big. He could not even see the bottom of it with how deep the split the hole was.

“Mr. Harris…. She will be fine.” Becky tried to reassure Ricky. Although, even she did not know how Desaray would do on her own.

Ricky finally took his attention away from the blue figure who had now begun walking away. “We need to sure up our defenses. We will stay here for now. Desa will probably do the same. She will not venture too far off unless she has to. We will secure this area and then try to find a way to get back down to lower ground.”

Ricky knew his daughter well and knew she would not stray too far. In fact, Desaray had been thinking just that. She did not want to lose sight of her the floating island her father and friends were on. In the sky, there was not just the one floating island, but many that she could see on the horizon.

“First things first, I need to mark the area and try to find a safe place.” She looked around and felt lucky that there was still a lot of debris around her that she could build a shelter with.

She began pulling large pieces of concrete out of the underbrush and started building a shelter to live in. The spot she chose was an area near the chasm that she had cleared out. It was small, but it was a decent place to set up a temporary base.

She had to thank the fact that she was now a dragon and a level 10 one since her strength had risen by leaps and bounds. Moving the large blocks was nothing to her. By the time noon rose, she had already built half the structure. She just needed to finish it up before night fell.
